What Are Passkeys?
Passkeys provide a safer and more convenient way to sign in. Once you set up Passkeys, you can use them to sign in more quickly and verify sensitive actions, such as trading or withdrawals, without having to remember complex passwords. Passkeys also help protect against phishing attacks.
1. How to Enable Passkeys on Web
Step 1: Go to Security Settings
1️⃣ Log in to AnyTrade Web.
2️⃣ Click [Preferences] in the left navigation menu.
3️⃣ Find [Security Settings] and click it.
Step 2: Add a Passkey
1️⃣ On the Security Settings page, if no Passkeys have been added yet, you will see a message indicating that no Passkeys are currently linked.
2️⃣ Click [Add Passkey].
Step 3: Choose Where to Save the Passkey
After clicking [Add Passkey], your browser will open a system-level security window asking where you want to save the Passkey. Choose the option that best fits how you use your devices:
➤ Google Password Manager: Recommended if you use Chrome and are signed in to your Google account. This allows the Passkey to sync across supported devices.
➤ iCloud Keychain: Recommended for Apple users on Mac or iPhone. This allows the Passkey to sync across supported Apple devices.
➤ Use a phone, tablet, or security key: Choose this option if you want to use another mobile device or a hardware security key such as YubiKey. Follow the on-screen instructions, which may include scanning a QR code.
➤ Your Chrome profile: Saves the Passkey to your current Chrome profile.
After selecting a save location, follow the on-screen instructions to complete verification, such as using your fingerprint, facial recognition, or device password.
Step 4: Passkey Added Successfully
Once the setup is complete, a green confirmation message will appear in the upper-right corner indicating that the Passkey was added successfully.
The Security Settings page will then update as follows:
➤ Status: A message below the page title will indicate that 1 Passkey is linked.
➤ Passkey list: The Passkey you just created will appear in the list, along with its save location, such as iCloud Keychain.
➤ Manage Passkeys:
➤ Delete a Passkey: To remove a Passkey, click [Delete] on the right.
➤ Add another Passkey: If needed, click [Add Passkey] and follow the on-screen instructions to set up another Passkey.
2. How to Enable Passkeys on the App
Step 1: Go to Security Settings
1️⃣ Open the AnyTrade App and go to [Cat Home].
2️⃣ Tap the gear icon in the upper-right corner to open Settings.
3️⃣ Under Account & Security, tap [Security Settings].
Step 2: Add a Passkey
1️⃣ On the Security Settings page, find [Passkeys].
2️⃣ Tap [Add Passkey] button at the bottom of the page.
Step 3: Complete Security Verification
The verification method may vary depending on your current login method.
For example, if email verification is required:
1️⃣ To help protect your account, the system will send a verification code to the email address associated with your account.
2️⃣ Enter the 6-digit verification code in the [Security Verification] window.
Step 4: Save the Passkey
After verification is completed, your phone will display a system-level Passkey prompt. Using iOS as an example:
➤ Option 1: Add Passkey
Tap [Add Passkey] and follow the system instructions to save the Passkey. Once set up, you can use supported authentication methods such as Face ID or Touch ID for future login or sensitive action verification.
➤ Option 2: Save on Another Device
Choose this option if you want to set up the Passkey using another device, such as a computer. You may be asked to scan a QR code as part of the setup process.
Step 5: Passkey Added Successfully
Once the setup is complete, a green confirmation message will appear at the top of the page indicating that the Passkey was added successfully.
The Security Settings page will then update as follows:
➤ Status: The page will show that 1 Passkey is linked.
➤ Passkey information: The Passkey you just created will be listed below, for example Passkey 01, together with its save location, such as iCloud Keychain.
➤ Manage Passkeys:
➤ Delete: Tap the trash icon to remove the Passkey.
➤ Add another Passkey: If needed, tap [Add Passkey] and follow the on-screen instructions to set up another Passkey.
